Fast and effective burn treatments.

Waterjel burn treatments come in a range of shapes and sizes, from small dressings to large blankets, for precise application, all made with our gel formula of 96% purified water and Hyaluronic Acid that soothes without ever having to rewet the injury. While most burn products use traditional foam, Waterjel dressings utilize Super Absorbent Foam (SAF) – a far superior solution that has been shown to outperform traditional foam dressings in durability, gel delivery and retention.

Safe & Simple Formula

Cools, soothes,and moisturizes.

Waterjel is safe and effective for first- and second-degree burns, including thermal, friction, chemical, and electrical burns, as well as common burns like sunburn. The biocompatible formula is non-adherent and easy to remove without causing further trauma to the patient. Waterjel is formulated with 96% purified water and Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which helps recreate many of the skin's natural healing conditions by maintaining a moist environment and moisturizing damaged tissue.

Additionally, through it's unique formulation, Waterjel effectively dissipates heat through evaporation, providing fast cooling and comfort when relief is needed most, all while supporting the body's natural healing response.

Non-toxic, non-immunogenic and biodegradable – safe for children and adults1,2
Retains moisture so skin stays hydrated
Cools, soothes, and moisturizes
Barrier to external contamination

no tea tree oil

Unlike many burn treatments, Waterjel is intentionally made without Tea Tree Oil, which poses a risk of contact dermatitis, burning, or delayed healing if improperly diluted. It is not recommended on large TBSA burns or in children without medical supervision. A systematic review reported side effects in up to 60% of trials, though mostly mild.³

Additionally, the European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) adopted an opinion classifying tea tree oil as Reproductive Toxicity Category 2 (Repr. 2) under the EU CLP Regulation. It is a known skin irritant and can lead to skin sensitization.

Waterjel was one of the first brands to discontinue the use of Tea Tree Oil, starting in 2014.
