Safeguard Medical is just over 18 months old. Owned and backed by Water Street Healthcare Partners out of Chicago, the company has acquired medical products and training businesses to strengthen them in the marketplace. Now it is headed to the Charlotte region to put down roots.
Safeguard Medical announced on Aug. 30 it would be bringing its headquarters to Huntersville. The operation will have at least 175 employees and could grow up to 250. It will include manufacturing, research and development and administrative operations. Safeguard Medical owns several different brands and works in the emergency medicine, defense and public safety sectors.
