The PneumoDart™ is purpose-built to overcome the shortfalls of the flexible catheter. It has a hollow, closed-end stylet and spring-loaded safety tip design, housed in a 14G by 3.4"-long needle. The PneumoDart features a color indicator that lets the end user confirm placement in the pleural space when the safety tip retracts.
