In This Together Tor Arne Espedal Tor Arne’s 17-year part-time military service included time with Norway’s Rapid Reaction Forces and territorial guard. Trained as infantry, he later qualified in both medicine and intelligence, converting from lieutenant to OR-7 (sergeant first class) to avoid ranking away from field service. He has also led a 17-year career as an EMT, becoming a paramedic supervisor, instructor and shift leader. As an instructor, Tor Arne has worked with law enforcement and fire and rescue, and is a course director in EU SIM medical simulation centres. He took part by invitation in mass shooting emergency response management training alongside law enforcement.
