David ‘Dig’ Preece During my time as a Community Pharmacist, I became one of the first Pharmacists to run a full anticoagulation clinic. Later, I was involved in various medical treatment schemes where I would treat members of the public for minor ailments freeing up valuable time for GPs. I was also the first Community Prescribing Advisor in Herefordshire; I hold a Pharmacy Degree and Clinical Diploma. The best part of my current role is helping to plan international expeditions, where I advise on appropriate medicines for the team to take with them and navigate the complex pharmaceutical regulations when crossing international borders. Outdoor adventures are a passion of mine, and to relax away from work, I enjoy the great outdoors when hiking, swimming and sea-kayaking. I was fortunate to join our global medical consultancy and training department, Prometheus Medical, at the start of its journey and continue to be excited about its development under Safeguard Medical. I’m proud of our efforts to grow the company to become a market leader in pre-hospital trauma care.
