With a life-long, self-proclaimed passion to make a difference and inspire others, Shane Pierce from Abstract Dissent has turned that life’s mission in to creating visual beauty. Shane grew up creating art and found a true passion for street art, but it was only after working in construction and retail that he realized his real talents were in aerosol art. His ability to create shapes, shadows, depth, texture, and unique perspectives through just the use spray paint is truly a special, unique talent that results in gorgeous works of art. Now, through his brand Abstract Dissent, Shane shares his talent for aerosol art and his ability to create uplifting urban spaces with the world. From schools and non-profits, to businesses and public tribute walls, Shane has truly found his calling, all while never forgetting his purpose- to make a difference and inspire others.

Shane’s unique talent and personal mission is what led Safeguard Medical to commission him for a mural in our brand new global headquarters in Huntersville, North Carolina. Safeguard Medical’s mission “To equip and enable responders at every skill level to preserve life in an environment” is all about assisting the communities we serve so partnering with Shane was a no brainer.
