Description

Extremity hemorrhage is a major cause of preventable death globally and the number-one cause of preventable death on the battlefield. 1 Death from blood loss can occur in as little as five minutes from a severe extremity injury. Tourniquets are a proven device to stop severe, life-threatening bleeding.

Developed by the US military and recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC), the TMTTM is used by militaries, medical professionals, and public safety agencies worldwide.
