Simulation Repair Technician Location Huntersville, NC, United States Job Summary This role assists in the restoration, maintenance, and warranty repairs of all SIMBODIES products including manikins, based from Huntersville, NC. Support in the training and development of any additional team members who engage in repairs with their key skills as defined in the Key Skills Competency Guide. Essential Job Functions Management and delivery of high-quality repairs to simulation products, including internal and external manikin repairs, silicone skins and sleeves, restoring simulated permanent injuries including burns and hair work. Act decisively and report staff or equipment-related problems and/or report issues o to line manager Scheduling of own time, including prioritization of administrative and repair tasks. Ensure health and safety regulations are met and report any issues of concern to line manager or nominated H&S representative Implementing all SIMBODIES Documented repair Processes through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) with attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality and consistency are maintained in the repair of all products Always adhere to all Quality Control Repair Standards & Processes Report any deviation or issues with implementing any of the Documented Repair Processes to appropriate managers prior to progressing with the task in hand Report any defects or repairs to materials or equipment to line manager Attend relevant training sessions as agreed with line manager Assist in the communication of reordering of regular stock items to ensure sufficient quantity of raw materials are available to maintain uninterrupted repair processes. Report any shortages on a weekly basis to the designated person Maintain skill level & production knowledge, especially with new products and changes in processes Maintain a Clean and orderly work area Familiarize yourself with the use and application of a range of SIMBODIES products including, SIMSLEEVES, SIMWOUNDS & other training and simulation products. Following training, ensure all repairs & maintenance are undertaken to a high standard. Additional training requirements may be added as deemed necessary by the supervisor Requirements Qualifications Basic IT skills & basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts or Make-up Artistry & Special Make-up Effects or Media Make-up, or Entertainment Design Crafts or similar, or 2-3 years of relevant experience in a creative hands-on industry preferred; relevant vocational degree with experience will be considered Ability to meet designated deadlines is a critical qualification. (15) This position requires the ability to maintain the highest standards of professional maturity and emotional intelligence even in difficult or stressful situations Other Requirements This position will be based in our Huntersville, NC site but may be required to travel for periods of up to 4 weeks during the first 6 months of employment to Thirsk, UK for training. Passport and Driving License required. After initial training, business travel not expected to exceed 20% of time annually.
