Kitting Coordinator Department Kitting Location Harrisburg, NC Description Job Summary The Kitting Coordinator position performs a variety of tasks related to the development and production of medical devices kits. The primary role of the Kitting Coordinator is to work directly with commercial leads, marketing, engineering, quality and production personal to assist in the designing, building, and tracking of medical kits for commercial sale. They will use writing, math and technical skills to assist the department with creating products that satisfy customer needs, regulatory requirements and contribute to the growth and market position of the company. Essential Job Functions Primary Job Functions Support Kitting function with documentation, customer interface, and project coordination activities. Collect information, identify key product attributes, and write material specifications for new products and itemsReview new kit requests against existing kits to look for similarities or possible alternatives for the requirement Track and communicate progress/status of open Kitting projects to customers and internal team members Assist in the development of bills of materials based on customer inputs to assess feasibility, initial risks and profitability Conduct time studies and develop standard work and routing times for processesSupplemental Job Functions Assist in the creation of assembly instructions and bill of materials for new products using technical writing skills Assist in the training of production and quality personnel on the work instructions and production inspection Assist in the implementation of product changes using MasterControl Assist in prototyping and sample kit creation of new kits to support the Kitting process Qualifications High School Diploma required and some college or equivalent experience, preferred3 or more years of relevant experience (medical device or other regulated industry experience preferred) Proficient in MS Office applications with emphasis on Word and Excel Good written and verbal communication and presentations skills as demonstrated by success in prior position(s) using Word, PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrated ability to work creatively and independently and prioritize effectively to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Ability to meet designated deadlines is also a critical qualification Experience with Adobe Illustrator or similar, preferred Competencies Self-directed, demonstrating ownership and accountabilityStrong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skillsUnderstanding of change management, conflict resolution and team dynamics Detail oriented Ability to organize objects in a confined or volume-restricted space (spatial awareness) Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and procedures Able to read, write, speak and understand English (multilingual preferred) Able to understand measurement units, take and comprehend measurements Ability to work with small parts, dexterity with hands Physical Requirements Performing the duties of this job regularly involves: (1) sitting, (2) standing; (3) walking; (4) hearing/listening (5) repetitive hand movement; (6) grasping; (7) reaching; (8) lifting; (9) carrying; (10) bending/stooping; (11) kneeling/crawling; (12) climbing; (13) balancing; (14) pushing/pulling; (15) vision requirements – close vision, adjust focus, color code; (15) other.
