ECO Coordinator Department Engineering Location Harrisburg, NC Job Summary The ECO Coordinator is responsible for analyzing product design changes to determine the effect on the end product design and function, preparing documentation necessary for change and processing engineering change orders. S/he will work directly with commercial leads, marketing, engineering, quality, and production personnel to design, build and support production with the implementation of product assemblies for commercial sale. This role will review released engineering change data and control documentation process to ensure adherence to configuration. Essential Job Functions Develop bills of materials based on customer inputs to assess feasibility, initial risks, and profitability. Enter new item Master data, Bills of Material and Routing into ERP System. Creates assembly instructions and bill of materials for new products using technical writing skills. Train production and quality personnel on the work instructions and production inspection. Implement product and process change using MasterControl. Collect information, identify key product attributes and write material specifications, under the guidance of engineering, for new products and items. Assist marketing with prototype labeling and makes adjustments to product packaging and labeling. Acts as a liaison between engineering and production departments to drive change orders and completion of task in Quality and Manufacturing systems to minimize interruptions to the production schedule. Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma and some college or equivalent experience 3 or more years of experience in a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred) Technical skills must include experience utilizing vacuum sealers, label printers and manufacturing equipment. Good written and verbal communication and computer skills as demonstrated by success in prior position(s) using Microsoft Office, Master Control and additional ERP systems as required. Demonstrated ability to work creatively and independently and prioritize effectively to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to meet designated deadlines is also a critical qualification.
