Director of Global Supply Chain Department Operations Location Harrisburg, NC Job Summary The Global Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for the strategic direction, deployment, and management of the short/long term planning as part of the S&OP process, with a strong Customer experience focus, ensuring that Customer service objectives are being met while meeting the cost, inventory, lead-time and cash flow targets for the Business. This leader is responsible for building the planning capabilities to support the global operations through the foundations within the ERP and MRP, as well as evolving the planning process from a functional focus to an end-to-end value stream focus with an accelerated evolution towards advanced analytics as a key input to continuous improvement initiatives for optimization of the Supply Chain and Product Margins. This role is a critical SME for the ERP system and the owner of the MRP process. Is responsible for providing guidance of use of the system as it aligns to best practices within the organization and is also responsible for building a talent strategy to support, develop and mentor direct and indirect reports to improve skills and abilities and grow into high-performance teams. Essential Job Functions Leads the organization to excellence in all aspects of the supply chain. Leads in the implementation of global supply chain improvements to enhance the organization’s ability to respond to customer needs in a timely manner, implement programs, strengthen supplier relations, grow the supplier base, improve organization-wide activities, and mitigate identified risks. Leads the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Responsible for the global product supply execution; plan, source, make and deliver to meet revenue plans and customer satisfaction through OTIF metrics. Identifies and communicates delivery risks across the supply chain. Aligns production delivery schedule with key customer requirements ensuring Customer Service, Sales, & Operations priorities are considered, and the schedule is adjusted to deliver critical orders. Ensures the Distribution teams are aware of the priorities and order to ship. Develop and implement supplier management strategy to ensure availability of raw materials and support material flow to meet production requirements. Implements processes for escalating risks and supply constraints, providing scenarios, proposing alternate solutions and comprehensive analytics to drive consensus and rapid decision making. Directs and monitors Team and processes through goals and objectives as well as leading KPI’s. Establishes such performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain and materials management. Drives adherence to using the ERP system and Power BI, functions as an active SME for the MRP process, with full understanding of the MRP environment within D365. Optimizes processes and configurations to the MRP to best fit the business objectives. Drives and oversees supply chain performance and continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and materials functions to impact lead times, material and logistics cost, inventory, and cash flow. Define and execute Global Supply Chain Strategy through 3rd party service providers, in house operations and transport partners, aligned with Global standards. Maintains constant communication with main stakeholders from Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics pertinent to requirements and impacts. Ensures compliance with Global Supply policies and procedures and identifies risk environments from a compliance and/or capacity perspective. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in Global Supply Chain. Including Inventory Management, Production Planning, Supplier Development/Performance and International Logistics 5+ years’ experience leading SIOP or S&OP process. Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related ERP system software required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) highly preferred Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global advanced planning and scheduling systems. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma project leading experience. Master Black-Belt preferred. Experience with organization change management in a globally diverse, rapidly changing environment. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
